New phone - Fitbit app not correct

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have just updated my phone from iPhone 8 to iPhone 11. When I downloaded the app onto my new phone it no longer is showing my step count or my sleep tracker. It wouldn’t let me log in either so I had to set up as new device. But the top bit shows calories burnt. But no step count or active minutes or sleep which are the 3 features I need the most. Please can someone help me.

You say it wouldn't let you log in so you set up as a new device.  Do you mean you set up a new Fitbit account?  If so, it won't have your data.  Your data is stored in your account.  You want to log in with same account.  If you could not log in to that, try to figure out why.  Are you sure you used the same email and password you had been using?

I wouldn’t mind it not transferring old data across. But it doesn’t show step count, sleep or active minutes. If all previous data has gone, it’s annoying but ok. The new one one logged in and steps / sleep or active minutes isn’t even any option. Still shows ok my actual Fitbit just not the app. Which is very frustrating. I tried the forget password thing and it didn’t work, hence why I had to set it up again. This is why I hate updating my phone! For this exact reason. So many things wrong / not working / not updated properly

I have the exact same issue.  I just upgraded to iPhone 11 Pro Max.  I have the same data missing in my Fitbit app as you.  I’ve logged out and deleted my app, reinstalled and logged in.  No help.  Shut down and restarted my device and no help.  I will give it a couple weeks.  Otherwise may have to get an Apple Watch. 😕

This might not be what you are referring to, but if you tap 'Discover' at bottom left; then 'Health & Fitness Stats', you can choose which tiles to display on 'Today'.

I went and checked it out.  When I click on the section that is missing from my Today page, the Open button is shaded and doesn’t let me access or open it.  Like the sleep and heart rate sections, for example.

Problem solved!  After looking around the app some more, I discovered that my device was not linked to my app anymore.  I re-setup my device in the app and now all of my data shows up on the Today page. I hope this helps the original poster! 😊

I’m still struggling to do this. I’m glad it has worked for you though.

it just is searching all the time even though my Fitbit is plugged in. I presume i go to set up device under my name bit? Then click what device it is, plug it in etc? Still searching for ages even though phone and charging Fitbit are next to each other! Help please! Thank you

Yes do what you all that you mentioned but also I deleted my device in my Bluetooth as well.  I’d do that and restart your phone and your device then add/set up the new device in the app.  That may help the device connect to the app.  I hope that works for you.
