No Alerts since IOS update

My fitbit has not been doing the hourly alerts, text message or phone call alerts since the update after IOS. I have tried updating my fitbit, reseting it, reconnecting it, all the usual recommendations.  Is anyone else having issues with alerts since the update?  now I'm trying to reset my fitbit and my phone isn't able to sync or find my fitbit.

Hello @kmherri, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Which tracker are you currently using? If you have a Charge 2, please make sure your tracker is not currently in the Do Not Disturb mode as this mode prevents any alert or notification from reaching your tracker.

To check this, press down the button on the side of your Charge 2 for 2 seconds, a vibration and a message will let you know if Do Not Disturb has been turned off or on.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

My fitbit is not in that mode. It was working fine until the IOS11 update happened and subsequent fitbit update.

Hello @kmherri, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. It's nice to see you around too @RCLAPP, thanks for joining the conversation.

I appreciate you have checked your tracker. At this moment I would like to suggest you to first, update the Fitbit app as we have just released a new version (2.41.1) then, reset all notifications through the app to reset the connection between your tracker and your phone.

To reset Notifications:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone, check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this device.
  2. Restart your phone
  3. Restart your tracker
  4. Open the Fitbit app and go to Account > Charge 2 > Notifications and enable them again.
  5. When you receive a message to pair your phone to your tracker tap OK and continue with the process.

Additionally, please go to your phone Settings > Notifications > Fitbit and make sure the following is enabled:NuNotificationSettings.jpg

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome.

Same here. I did try all of the recommendations. But it finally started with the phone text and calendar alerts 10 minutes after my post. Hope it is fixed now.

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. Smiley Happy

@tiggersgirl67 and @kmherri, at this moment I would like to ask you to go to your phone Settings > Fitbit and make sure the following is enabled:

  • Background app Refresh
  • Cellular Data
  • Location set to Always.

@AlinRaleigh and @RCLAPP, I'm glad to know your issue has now been resolved and that your trackers are receiving notifications.

@Troberts12 and @PR-208, which tracker are you currently using? Have you restarted it and your phone lately? Which troubleshooting steps have you tried so far (including the ones I provided earlier)? That information will be very helpful for me to determine the next step to follow in order to resolve your issue.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting for your reply.

Well I WAS getting notifications. Now I get some

whwn I go to the app and try to even check my notification setting it say “ device needs to pair with iPhone” this is just after it synced with my iPhone so it is paired

bluetooth on my phone shows it is paired and it will sync. I think the app has bugs in it since the new OS11 was installed. My wife has a new Charge 2 and she is having some of the same problems with syncing and pairing
