Hello @SunsetRunner
Welcome to the Fitbit Community. I see your steps are missing from your Dashboard. I did notice that your posting this question under the iOS App forum so I’m going to assume you might be taking about the Fitbit App. It your Steps are missing from the Fitbit app please do this:
open your Fitbit App
tap edit in the upper right side (located just under the notifications envelope)
Look to see if steps has a check mark beside it. If not place one there
now tap save in the upper right
If you did indeed mean that your steps are missing from the online Dashboard then this is how to get them back:
tap the word Dashboard at the top of your screen (located to the left of the word “store” in red letters)
now tap what appears to be a “rubric cube” icon to the left upper side of your screen
find Steps and tap it
now tap done and your steps tile will reappear.
😃 please let me know if this provides you with the best answer to your question.

I don’t have the steps button on my app or on the dashboard it disappeared!
the only place I can see steps is on the watch itself. It’s useless to me now

Hello again @SunsetRunner
I see your still having trouble finding your steps on the Fitbit app as well as your dashboard. I will try to be clearer on my instructions on how to find it. Here’s how you put the steps back on your Fitbit app it they disappeared:
First go to your Fitbit App and tap the word “Today” at the bottom of your screen. Now look to the upper right of your screen and tap the word “edit”. (It’s located just under what looks like an envelope) Now once to tap the word edit another screen will appear. Look to the top of the screen and you will see the word “steps”. Make sure the word “steps” has a check mark to the left of the work. If it does not have a check mark beside it then tap the empty circle to the left of the word steps and doing so will put a check mark beside it. Once you put a check mark beside the word “steps” tap the word “save” on the upper right of your screen. Now scroll through all your current challenges. In that list will be your step count now with a large circle around it.
Now let’s put your steps on the Dashboard. Here’s how:
Go to your online Dashboard and tap what looks like a rubrics cube to the left side of your screen. (I provided you a screenshot of the rubric cube looking button) Tap that rubric cube looking icon and now look in the list that now shows and tap the empty box to the right of the word “goals” and then scroll down and tap the word “done”. Now your steps will appear on your dashboard. You might have to scroll down the page of your dashboard to see it but it’s there.
😃Please come back let me know if my directions this time to put steps on both your Fitbit App and your Dashboard we’re clear and you were indeed able to now see your steps in both locations. If I indeed was able to help you would you please tap the small “best answer” box under my post with my instructions? Doing so helps other individuals who come to the Fitbit Community seeking answers to questions similar to yours. I’d appreciate it.

Oh wow @SunsetRunner your screenshot was great! Seeing what your seeing really helped me understand! I thought you might just be having difficulty finding it but that’s not the case. It’s clearly not there at all. I apologize for my confusion. I think the best solution to this problem would be to completely uninstall the Fitbit App then reinstall it. You will not lose any data doing this.
Here’s how:
1. Log out of the Fitbit app and force shut the app by swiping up
2. uninstall the Fitbit App from your device
3. now completely shut down your device and wait about 1 min then restart your device
4. once your device has reloaded reinstall the Fitbit app by downloading it from the App Store
5. once it’s installed, log into your device as you normally would with username and password
6. don’t touch anything in the app...just wait until you get a prompt from your Bluetooth.
7. When prompted by your Bluetooth tap yes
😃 now look to see if your steps are now proudly displayed where they should be. Again I apologize for the confusion on my part. Keep me posted

@SunsetRunner Are you at least seeing steps displayed on your Fitbit tracker?? Can you tell me the version of and type of your device? Also are you updated on your iOS update? I know you have to have the latest update on your Fitbit App since you just downloaded it but can you check that as well.

I have steps on my tracker but no where else. My phone is updated, I did it and then lost my steps. It happened at the same time.
