No more rate or distance announcements, Charge 4

Suddenly, our Charge 4 with iPhone is not telling me my distance or rate at the specified intervals during my daily walk.

 

It has done this in the past but I was always able to turn the announcements back on. Usually, an update to either the app or iOS that changed settings was the cause.

No such luck this time. 

iPhone 12: iOS version 17.2.1

Fitbit app 4.06230035

 

Charge 4 has been restarted.

Phone is used for GPS

App settings:Walk exercise shortcuts:

Show Laps ON

Lap Type MILES

Lap every 1 MI

Turns out that there are ADDITIONAL steps to turn on the distance and rate announcements. 

 

When beginning the Exercise via the + button, lower right, then Track Live, I needed to turn on Voice Cues then Play During Exercise. This despite having those settings ON as mentioned above.
