I’m running IOS 12.1.2 on my iPhone 8 and noticed I was no longer getting notifications for phone or text on my AltaHR. I’ve done all the troubleshooting steps I’m aware of (Re-pairing Watch, checking settings in both watch and phone, removing all devices except car multi-media from Bluetooth) without success. Anyone have ideas about this?

I have an iPhone X and Charger 2 and notifications do not work. Friday morning, however, it did pick up a call..but that was the one and only time. It has yet to find a text message. I've done all of the steps to try and remedy the situation and nothing has worked. I've reached out to Fitbit to see if they might have more ideas for me.

IOS 12.1 apparently no longer has the “turn on history.”
I think the AltaHR has issues with IOS12.1 (I’ve actually got 12.1.2). I read they had issues and to reset the watch by placing it in the charger and pressing the buttons 3 times to reset which I did. I had also deleted the app on the iPhone and turned off Bluetooth. After resetting the watch I reinstalled the app just to be sure I had renewed everything and signed in. Notifications still don’t work although notifications are turned on on phone and watch and it’s Bluetooth connected! I’m at my wits end on it!
UPDATE:
I called the help number and the tech had me turn off notifications for messages, calendar, and phone, then sync the watch, then turn them on, synch, then turn them off, turn the phone off and restart, then turn notifications on and sync, and then they magically were working! Weird perhaps, but notifications now work!

Hi, I've got a Fitibit Versa and also had the issue that after a time the notifications did not show up on the watch. I am not completeley sure but I think on my device it seems that if I delete all the notifications on the watch then after that I am able to receive notifications again. So it seems to me there is an upper limit of notifications on the device and if this is reached no notifications will show up.
If this is the case, I think this should be fixed. If there is an upper limit, the watch should simply delete old notifications as they should be present on the smartphone anyways (if not deleted there). As far as I am concerned this is better than simply missing notifications because a list is full. By the way, some notifications cannot be deleted on the watch, but I think that is another topic. And I do not want to delete notifications both on the watch and the smartphone...

Not sure if this is already SOLVED elsewhere, but I too was having problems with notifications on my Ionic (27.33.1.30) from my iPhone. I toggled notifications in app and in Settings on Ionic, bluetooth off/on on iPhone XS Max, forgot my device in BT, and remove / add Ionic from Fitbit app. Of course, there were multiple restarts of Ionic and power cycle / forced shutdowns on iPhone as well all to no avail...
HOWEVER, I just opened Wallet app on my Ionic then pressed and held left button like it stated even though I don't use the Wallet - and guess what!?!? The quick launch Settings section displayed, which I totally forgot existed! Notifications was toggled OFF here, and Screen Wake was set to Manual (which I was also noticing wasn't working, but wasn't as big a problem as notifications). BTW, if I swipe left within these Settings, I get Music Controls - I note this in case there is some other way to get to these settings. After enabling Auto for Screen Wake, flicking my wrist works great again. VOILA - changing the setting Notifications to ON has restored my call, text, and app notifications!!!
Why are these Settings in Quick Launch overriding the app and the Settings app on the Ionic??? Curiosity, perseverance, and determination paid off here! (Ok... maybe it was stubbornness and wanting to avoid dropping money on an Apple watch HAHAHA!)

Marco,
This sounds like the team is no longer working on this issue. And will be glad for us to keep sending our situation back in to you as our problem with your product continues to not (or perhaps magically is) solved.
So there are customers where you know we are stuck, and have no plans for any immediate resolution. And the customers are not allowed to return their products.
That's it?
Dave

Same here from Wide Open West in Columbus. If I use the app with cellular data (Verizon) it's fine - but if I got through WOW it won't sync. There is some problem between these two - every other website is working just fine.

That's exactly it. I have mentioned previously, I wanted to just exchange it. My husbands device works fine, but that's because he purchased his after the update. I just want a working one....but again, the 45 days passed so the answer was no. If they had been honest and told me it could be fixed instead of stalling me, I would have been able to.
We are not their priority.

This is working now via Wifi. The Sync.
UPDATE:
Thank you HanselStorm - I for the life of me could not figure out why notifications didn't work.
Sure enough - hold the left button down, swipe right - it was turned off there.
They work now. This was after reinstalling the app, updating the watch settings on/off 100 times etc.
Seems that Fitbit has an issue with clearly communicating things to their customers.

I've had the same issue with my iPhone 7 running iOS 12. I get notifications after pairing my phone's bluetooth to my ionic but it's been a hit or miss. Toggling the bluetooth on my phone once in a while works.

Marco: do you know, at this point, whether corrective patches will be released in phases or en masse? Just wondering if patches for iOS devices are deployed the same time as those for Androids. Thanks
