Not Happy

Purchased the HR for my wife for Christmas. She had been very happy with the basic FitBit and at first was excited with the HR... then she noticed it was failing to maintain steps and/or failing to sync with her iPhone app. She's updated software and followed on-line guidance but the device continues to miss steps and not update the app. Guess I should have believed the on-line complaints. Is it a lost cause? Should I check out the competition?

It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community @Hammer74. If you have tried the basic troubleshooting steps to resolve syncing issues including setting up your wife's Charge HR as a replacement device without luck, I would recommend getting in touch with Customer Support. They might be able to provide further assistance to your case.
