Not Receiving Notifications on your iOS device? Here's How To Troubleshoot!

Hello Fitbit friends! If for some reason you stop receiving notifications using an iOS device; the first thing to do is to check the following tips and requirements:

  • Make sure your tracker is within 20 feet of your mobile device.
  • Your tracker won't receive notifications if it is syncing to your mobile device when a call, text, or calendar notification is received. If you miss notifications occasionally, it may be because you are syncing your tracker at the same time the notification was received.
  • Determine whether other Bluetooth devices connected to your mobile device are causing interference and preventing notifications from appearing on your tracker.
  • If you're receiving notifications but they seem delayed, the Bluetooth connection between your tracker and your mobile device may be unstable. If Bluetooth regularly fails you should notify your device manufacturer.

If notifications aren'r working properly; try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Restart your tracker.
  2. On your mobile device, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  3. Turn off Bluetooth, wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.

If you're still not receiving notifications, set up notifications again:

  1. Tell your mobile device to "forget" your tracker.
  • On your mobile device, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  • Tap your tracker and then tap Forget Device.
  • Log out of the Fitbit app.
  1. Reboot your mobile device.
  2. Restart your tracker.
  3. Turn on call, text, or calendar event notifications for your tracker:
  • Open the Fitbit app and tap Account
  • Tap your tracker.
  • Find an option to turn on call, text, or calendar notifications.

After doing this the notifications should be working properly.

Hope this helps. See you all around! Smiley Very Happy

@CFontes Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Is your phone under the list of supported devices for notifications? Also, update the iOS Fitbit app to its latest version (follow @MarreFitbit's steps on that post), then log out from the app, reboot your phone, and log back in.

If your phone is supported for notifications and you already did all the steps above and still nothing; the best thing to do is to report the problem to customer support to get further assistance.

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Very Happy
