I went hiking this past wekend and wore my Charge HR. In additon, I also tracked my exercise via my Iphone FitBit app. For some reason, my activity seemed to only sync/register as "automatic exercise" and will not sync the gps/mapping from my phone. On my phone, I can see the map and information yet, it will not sync with the app. Ive tried restarting, and syncing several times. Any other suggestions?
TIA

Welcome to the Fitbit Forums @stephmarcel! I'd like to know if you are still having this issue... Does the app show an error or something like that? Have you tried checking out your Online Dashboard to see if it's already there?
Looking forward to your new comments.

I am experiencing this exact same problem with my iphone 6. The story is the same, random activities (walking/hiking) will not sync. There is no pattern amongst the three activities. All three activities occured in a full GPS and ATT cellular service area, blue tooth is active.
I have sent in a help request to IT, I would love to hear back from IT or someone in the forum who has expirenced this issue, and has a solution.
Thanks,
Greg in Alaska !!

Welcome aboard to the Community @gregorymchase! A new version of the Fitbit app was released on 06/30/2016. So, if you haven't gotten it yet, I recommend getting the most recent version by following @MarreFitbit's instructions in this post. This can help with the issue described in your post.
Let me know how it goes.

Here is one of many last weeks’ walk along Newport Beach pier. The screen shot is of several walks/hikes that will not synch from my iPhone to the fitbit server. Any idea on how to get these to update? Thanks again !!

Hello, @gregorymchase! Please keep in mind that at least two dozen GPS satellites are constantly in orbit around the Earth and broadcasting data. All GPS devices, whether your phone require a direct path to these satellites in order to receive their radio transmissions. If the signal is being blocked—either because you're underground, near many tall buildings, or as a result of atmospheric effects—GPS will not work. Thus, whereas GPS gives you a more accurate measure of distance than step counting alone, the actual accuracy depends on both your environment and the weather.
Are you still experiencing this issue? Please provide me with as much information as you can so I can further investigate your situation. 🙂

Thank you so much for taking time to review and reply to my message about synching iPhone app for Fitbit during my activity walk.
I am attaching the most recent 6 non-synchable activities - walking. Each is in a different area around Orange County California (Disney Land), Riverside, California (across the street from where I live - about 500 feet), and San Diego Zoo. I have attempted to synch these activities in the days and weeks since I’ve completed the activity, but the synch always fail. I am attempting to synch them at home, WiFi on and working (ATT), good network connectivity.
If you have a solution please let me know.
Thank you again for taking time out to look at this ongoing issue.
Sincerely,
Gregory M Chase

Hello, @gregorymchase! Thanks for the updates! I don't see where you attached the other activities. The thing is like I said, that if you pass by a place that the signal is being blocked for some reason, that's is where the inaccuracy will happen, even though you sync your information at your house with a strong Internet connection.
Have you contacted our Customer Support team already? I recommend you to do it if you haven't 🙂

SolangeFitBit,
Thank you for review and comment on my case. Since I have last posted, my iphone FitBit app has updated all acitivites that had not updated- some as far back as June of this year !!
Let me share a bit of my thought process, considerations:
First, I am using an iphone 6, IOS 10.0.2. When traveling, Second, I use a VPN which is turned off each day I arrive to my home WiFi.
What is not clear is why, this is an ongoing occurance. I live in Anchorage, Alaska; and travel frequently to the following parts of our country - Riverside, California; Los Angeles, California; and Fort Woth, Texas.
I use my FitBit through out these areas. One thing to note, each of these cities are covered by my ATT service, with plenty of access to the server. Of course, my home is WiFi covered, full server access.
I have similar discussions with FitBit Customer Support going back months on this issue. Customer Srevice does not have a solution for me.
Thank you again for your time and efforts on my behalf.
Sincerely,
Gregory Chase
