My steps are not syncing. I've tried:

1. Updating my ap.

2. Charging my Fitbit.

3. Restarting my phone.

4. Logging in and out of the ap.

5. Uninstalling and reinstalling the ap.

Help!!

Ok so I plugged my Fitbit into the charger (and the USB into my laptop) hit the button on the USB three times, with a slight pause between each one. Then I waited very patiently for about 5-10 seconds and the Fitbit logo showed on my Alta...it turned off then back on and immediately my cell phone Bluetooth recognized it.

When you say "hit the button on the USB three times" to what button are your referring? USB is a slot, or a plug that plugs into a slot. Are you referring to a hardware button on your laptop (when my Fitbit is in the charger I don't have access to the hardware)? Or are you referring to a button that you click on with your mouse?

Also, what is an "Alta" ? When you say you turned "it" off then back on, are you referring to the Alta? Your laptop? The Fitbit?

Thanks.

So sorry, I was thinking I was in the Alta Fitbit discussion board. That's the type of Fitbit I have. There may be a way to reset your Fitbit, kinda like turning your iPhone off and it helps reset some settings. Maybe google it?

On my Fitbit's charger there is a little button, maybe yours has that too?

Melelise83, thank you for your reply.

I have a Blaze -- I can shut it off, I just wasn't sure what which button you were referring to when you mentioned the "USB button." So, is it correct that you shut your Fitbit off and then off a few times while it was in the charger, and then it started syncing again with your iPhone?

EDIT: actually, there does not seem to be any way to shut off a Blaze while it's in the charging cradle. The hardware buttons are inaccessible and the only thing the software does is display a clock face or a notifications screen that says "all up to date!"

I can successfully pair my Fitbit to my phone -- my iPhone reports that the Fitbit is connected. However, if I select an exercise (biking, for example) the Fitbit says 'searching for phone' and then reports that it cannot find the phone.

And of course, it's not syncing to the app.
