Number 1 showing on Fitbit app icon

Fitbit says it is up to date but there is a number 1 showing in red on the icon fitbit.  How do I update?

Thanks for the details shared in your post. I recommend doing the following: 

1. Log out of the app.
2. Force quit the app.
3. Restart your phone. 
4. Log into the Fitbit app and check if the issue persists.
