Nutrition tracker on Home Page not working since March 31

I am posting this here as I use a Charge 5 but the problem seems irrespective of the device and more relates to the app. I am using the iOS app.

Starting yesterday, the nutrition tracker HOME PAGE in my Fitbit app no longer shows total calories consumed, however it does show consumption data when I press the Food tab and go to the next page for the daily count. Please fix this as I much prefer to see my data at a glance and not have to navigate to various pages for essential data.

I've attached two screenshots to show what I mean.1. Fitbit Home Page.jpeg2. Fitbit Food Page.jpeg

I have this issue also - IOS app, most recent version and I got a response from FITBIT support after raising it with them which states:

******

Thanks for reaching out to the Fitbit Customer Care Team.

Our team has reviewed your case and found no errors on our end. For this specific issue, please contact MyFitnessPal customer support so they can check if they are experiencing any active connection errors between their platform and ours.

I have raised a ticket with MFP also now. I do however feel like it is an issue with the Fitbit app as the calorie data has imported as you first said - showing in the full screen display, but the Home Screen calorie tile is not displaying correctly which would appear to be a UI issue with the fitbit app and not MFP.

I’ll go back to Fitbit again as I didn’t realise others were experiencing this issue too!

I'm having the same problem this month! Any updates?

I will add that I’m having exactly this same problem. Interesting that Fitbit blame MyFitnessPal—the fault started a couple of weeks ago immediately after both apps were updated.

Bearing in mind we are forced to use MFP and Fitbit together, it’s not very good customer service for one just to blame the other. All users care about is a solution. Subscriptions cost a lot of money, the least we expect is the basic functionality should work.

I’ve found that if you exit the app, then reload it, the calories will reappear

I have an iphone17, iOS 26.4.2

Fitbit app v 4.68

Hope this helps  someone

Hi there,

I updated the app yesterday to 4.68 as it said ‘bug fixes’ but this has not rectified the issue.

FitBit have come back (as the mod above says) and stated it is now being treated as a live issue and a fix is in the works but with no expected date for a patch.

IOS is 26.4.2 and this issue has now been ongoing since the start of April without a fix.

the trouble shooting offered by FitBit was clearing cache data on the app, offloading, fully uninstalling / reinstalling and singing out / back in. I’ve attempted to put food data into the app manually without using MFP / third party apps and it still won’t populate the Home Screen tile - with it just display 0 for every day.

For an app that has thousands of users including those who pay for the service I would like to think they would be addressing this quickly, but there have been 2 app updates rolled out since this thread stated and neither one of them has addressed this issue.

Hi Andrea,

I recently received the update to Fitbit v4.68 (46833115) and it now allows the nutritional data to appear in the home page. I''m not sure what was done behind the scenes, but it worked. Just wanted to let you know.

Many thanks!

Stan

Hi,

This still isn’t working, and I have updated both the iOS and Fitbit app.

Please could we have an update on when a resolution will happen?

Thank you

V4.68 still has NOT resolved this issue. I would be interested to know @AuburnBoy if you took any other troubleshooting steps as my app is still failing to display the nutritional data.

I didn’t do anything different. I just opened it this morning and there was my Nutrition/Food data which has been missing since the end of March. Sorry it hasn’t done the same for you. I will close this as it was resolved for me so I suggest you re-open one under your name if further support is needed.

Hi Andrea,

i may have been premature on claiming success in fixing the Nutrition/Food data not posting to the Home page. It did work, but only for one day. Now it goes back to zero. Can you check the status with your development team again?

Thank you, Stan

Good evening @AndreaFitbit, is there any update on this widespread issue?

It has been almost 4 weeks since the acknowledgement that the team were looking into this?

Thankyou

Hi Andrea,

I just received an email from Google about the coming Google Health app. According to the information I received, Google Health will 100% replace the Fitbit app and be rolled out starting May 19. As such, I think the developers decided not to do anymore work to fix the Fitbit app since it will soon be replaced by the new Google Health app.

Just now I chatted with a Google rep who confirmed all of this but of course does not have all the answers. He did mention that the Nutrition/Food data will be migrated from Fitbit app to the Google Health app and we will be able to enter our daily food intake just like we have been with the Fitbit app. Let's see.

So I guess the next step now is to wait and see the Google Health app and whether it covers all of our needs. I'm certain there will be a period of teething pain, in a migration like this, there always is. So I hope you can get some good rest and be prepared for a lot of questions coming after the migration.

Thanks in the meantime for your support!

Stan

Hello Fitbit Community,

Since March 31, the Nutrition Tracker on the Fitbit app home page has stopped showing total calories consumed, even though the data still appears correctly inside the Food tab. This clearly looks like an app-side issue rather than a device problem because many users across different Fitbit models are experiencing the same thing on iOS. The home dashboard is supposed to give a quick daily overview, so having to open extra pages just to check calories makes the experience frustrating and inconvenient. Hopefully Fitbit fixes this bug soon and restores the nutrition summary on the main screen where it belongs. Also while waiting for fixes, users who enjoy exploring apps can visit/download the free streaming app Honista for a smoother social media experience.

Best Regards!
