Old activities GPS data has disappeared

Hi there, I’ve been exporting my old runs and walks, and when I’ve reached activities that I tracked with the GPS on my phone, connected to my old Fitbit Blaze and Charge 2, the GPS information has disappeared. I’ve included two screenshots of the same run before and after as an example.

What has happened here, can I still export these runs into TCX files with the GPS info included?

Please help as this is years of data and it would be terrible if it was lost.

@thenamesgould   The only way to find out is to download that file and see what you get.  I'm hoping that you get your detailed data.  I noticed that your screenshot with the corrupted data lists "Fitbit App" as the source.  If you start and stop the workout on your device, it will name the device in the details:

It's probably impossible to remember, but did you start and end these on the phone app or on the device itself?  I have many detailed records, with maps, that all list Charge 2 as the source in the details.  I have older records from a Charge HR that had to be tracked using the phone app.  They look corrupted like yours.

Hi Laurie, thanks for the reply. I've tried downloading the data and it is literally just a few lines of info, there's no GPS data in there. And it's hard to remember but I have a feeling I did track these all through the app, linked to the watch. That's definitely how I did it when I got my first Fitbit watch, and I think it was only when I got the Sense I started tracking directly through the watch and starting activities that way.

Surely there must be a way to get the info, since it was there originally. And up until the redesigned app it was still there. I can't believe all the data I've tracked for years would just be junked ...

@thenamesgould   That's really a shame that all that data is lost.  Product Experts aren't Fitbit/Google employees, but I suspect this error can't get fixed.

Maybe I'll try the support chat ... hopefully the data is there somewhere and they just need to link it up again.
