Optional Heart Rate Contribution to Calories Burned

I propose something, which could be a software update, whereby you can retain the live heart rate monitor while blocking that information from going to your calories burned. Something like toggle for “count heart rate towards calories burned”

I’m a teacher and because I work with children my emotions fluctuate as does my heart rate. The result is my Fitbit registers me as being in fat burn most of the time in class whenever I’m static the majority of the time.

As a result my daily in/out difference is consistently over 1000 and this is not even remotely close to reality. It renders my Fitbit useless for weight loss.

I don’t want to turn off the heart rate monitor because find it very useful to track my heart health.

I input this through the suggestions page. I’ve tried again but it might well just make a duplicate of this one.
