Outdated information on Fitbit website and Help Site

There are at least two areas on Fitbit webpages that are grossly out of date. On page 13 approximately if you click on current version it reports that the current version of the iOS app is 3.4 1.1 last updated April 28 of 2021.

The recall/alert section has not been updated since October 17 of 2014 when a voluntary recall was made by Fitbit. I am aware of at least one recall since then and assume that other information is probably missing from this area.

Thank you for addressing the two issues I have brought up. It is good to have current recall data available for all Fitbit community members and it is good to know that there is no longer conflicting informati regarding the current iOS application version. A special thanks to odyssey and Lizzie for getting these issues addressed.

Thank you, for reading and referring my post. I have made other mentions about this issue within the community. Recently, I made it as a featur suggestion. Thanking it might get a quicker response. I am surprised that the Fitbit legal team had not commented on the recall/alert tab on the websites for obvious reasons.

Thank you again, you are one of the people in this forum. I am confident of getting something done and I appreciate your honest response and empathy.
I have dictated this, and hope that the intent is clear. I am a blind user, who has stayed with Fitbit, despite their accessibility issues for the blind and reading disabled. I am hoping that the new software that is being proposed will be more accessible to the blind and reading, disabled, and also address any issues of those with physical And motor disabilities.

@Podunk if there is a way to help you, it will need to come from one of the Fitbit Moderators, who are employees of the company. I'm a volunteer on the forums and have no ability to change things. Your posts are interesting and well worded. It would be good for Fitbit to pay attention for there are many people facing challenges such as yourself who would greatly benefit. Wish I could do more to help.

You have already done more than 50 customer care and Google Disability Support with the information you have provided in the past. I look forward to reading your comments because I always learn some thing that makes me a better and more knowledgeable Fitbit user. People like megabyte were helpful to me in the past but I , but others seem to be more interested in towing the company line and providing a Link to pages that sound like they might be helpful, but are usually usually lacking in the information offered.

I keep hoping that someone in senior management might look at our comments and react. Although I do not wish someone to have a disability or that they might have a family member with a disability I keep hoping that someone with a better understanding of the needs of the disabled community will Will intercede on behalf of all of us. I keep bringing up these issues in the forum, hoping that the right person with the right attitude and empathy will react and get the issues corrected. Something as simple as restoring the edit button to the iOS application, home screen Has taken more than 18 months at this point. Three months ago or more heart rate and heart rate zone information was removed from those of us who use voiceover as an application screen reader. I know you have read my comments in the past, and I know that you appreciate the challenges I face , so I will not continue to list them. It has been a while, but I will offer again to Fitbit/Google software developers. My willingness to speak with them at any time about the iOS application, and its ease-of-use along with the use of the website dashboard.

Hi there, @Podunk@Odyssey13 Thanks for always helping our members!

@Podunk Thanks for the heads up, and the thorough feedback about the Fitbit environment. I've escalated the Recall & Safety Info link to our team and they'll update it soon with the most recent information.

About your other inquiry, we recommend visiting the iOS board or Android board where you'll find information about new updates for the Fitbit app.

In regards to your last comment, I understand your point of view about providing more options so all our members, regardless of their condition, can access and enjoy the devices, as well as the features on Fitbit. I appreciate the time you took in sharing your requests in the Product Feedback board and rest assured Fitbit will keep working on ways to improve support for our customers experiencing disabilities.

Yesterday I checked the recall tab in the Fitbit webpages, and found that it had been updated to the most recent recall information. I also checked the most current version tab just above, kudos in the iOS section of the forum, and found that it had not been updated since it was posted on a on April 28, 2021 by Lizzy Fitbit. It still states that the most current version is 3.4 1.1 and we all know that the most current version is 3.80 released yesterday by Fitbit.

Hi @Podunk.

I'm happy the information of the Recall and Safety Info has been updated and thanks for keeping me posted. In regards to your other question, let me recommend checking this thread which is floated in the iOS App board, and has information about the Fitbit app version 3.79. The 3.80 version is progressively rolling out, and we'll update the thread once it's available to all our users.

Once again, I appreciate your feedback and we'll keep working to make Fitbit more useful for you.

The first thing I look at when I check postings in the iOS section of the forum is the current version of the Fitbit app area. I understand that the updates are rolled out overtime around the world. The reason I brought up the current version of the app tab is the fact that it conflicts with the first posting on the iOS community page. I would think to avoid conflicts of information. It might make sense to remove that tile which appears above most helpful authors. Thank you for all you were doing for members of the community.

Hi there, @Podunk.

Nice catch! I understand you and we have updated the board so there is only one thread with information about the Fitbit app updates.

You're very welcome, and thanks to you also for sharing this feedback with me. Hope you can have a great rest of your day!
