For a long time, the app told me that I had averaged 7148 steps per day during 2023 and two weeks ago that number changed to 7149 steps per day. Last week it jumped down to 7093 steps per day. I decided that perhaps what I needed to do to stop this very strange occurrence from happening was to delete the app and reinstall it. Once that was done suddenly I averaged 7256 steps per day in 2023. Now it is back to 7093 steps per day. How is it possible that a year that is come and gone has numbers that fluctuate? It certainly doesn’t give much faith in the overall accuracy of the app.
