Replacement Charge HR sync/update issues?

HELP!!  

I received my replacement Fitbit Charge HR today (as the strap faulted for a second time this time rendering HR unwearable). I tried setting up and throws up the following error messages when I try to Sync or carry out the firmware update with my iPhone app. 

 

Error when trying to sync:

ERROR

The operation couldn’t be completed (com.fitpit.HTTP error 0) 

 

Error when trying to carry out update:

The operation couldn’t be completed

(FBBluetootherrorDomain error 22.)

 

I am using the Fitbit app on the iPhone 6plus on iOS 11.0.3

 

I’ve missed out on a week worth of steps now!

@MrsAJ, I moved this post to the iOS App Help Forum, as this appears to be a problem with iOS 11. It will get more replies here.
