We are currently investigating reports of French Canadian users seeing a 404 error when setting up a tracker. As a workaround, we recommend setting up on an alternative device if possible.

Just bought a brand new alta hr and have the same problem.
unable to sync with bluetooth or fitbit app.
hope they will resolve the problem or i'll have to change brand

Switching to English language on my iPhone fixed it.
Was in French and was getting the 404 error.
I confirm switching the iPhone to english fix the problem. Next time, FitBit, test your app in all languages before releasing an update on the App Store!
N'importe quoi...faudrait vrmt qui soit plus sérieux avec leur clientèle francophone. Changer la langue de mon Iphone à Anglais m'a permis de télécharger le nouveau firmware. J'espère pouvoir la remettre en Français sans que ça bogue ma fitbit maintenant.

Best AnswerIls ont un bug depuis peu pour les téléphones en français, le temps qu’ils corrige, vous pouvez mettre la langue du téléphone en anglais, puis un coup la mise en marche de la montre effectuée, remettre le téléphone en français
