STILL having trouble with text notifications and clock

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have tried every possible permutation for getting my Blaze to consistently give me text message notifications from my iPhone.  None of the fixes posted here has proven to work.  I will get text message notifications for a while, then they will randomly stop.  Uninstalling and reinstalling the FitBit app on my iPhone worked once, but now it no longer corrects the issue.

I don't know if it's a related issue, but the clock also periodically freezes on my Fitbit.  I have to open the app on my phone and manually have it sync with the FitBit to correct the problem.

Honestly, the Blaze has proven to be a serious disappointment.  The things it does well (monitoring heartrate and steps, for example), it does quite well, but issues like the ones I've described here make me regret the purchase.  There's simply no excuse for a $200 fitness tracker/watch to be so **ahem**ed twitchy and buggy.  Unless FitBit gets their act together, I'm quite certain I won't be buying any more of their products.

Hi there @Mark_Ritchie, welcome aboard to our Community and I understand your frustration. I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with the text notifications.

I do not recommend to unistall and reinstall the app too frequently since this may caused you loose your information. Also I wonder if your tracker can keep a stable connection with your mobile device?

This may be one of the reason why you are not receiving your notifications. Sometimes it happens to me, and is due to this. Although whit the issue of the clock freezing, certainly is not an expected  behavior. Have you tried to perform a restart on your Blaze? If you haven't,

  1. Press and hold the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

Also for text notifications, I recommend to take a look a this post from @Kmransom123. Nonetheless if you have tried all the possible solutions, I would recommend to contact our Customer Support team for additional help.

Keep me posted and hope this helps.
