Update: 12/22/2017: We released a new version of the app today which should resolve this issue. Please update your app. Thanks for your reports and patience.
We received reports that an increased amount of users see Error 403 when attempting to set up or sync their device. If basic troubleshoots do not work (force quit app, restart tracker, restart device) users have reported uninstalling and reinstalling the app helps resolve the issue.
Thanks very much for your reports as we work on a resolution.

I just turned off my Blaze, turned off my iPhone 8's Bluetooth, and deleted the Fitbit app. Then once I reinstalled the app and logged in, it prompted me to turn on my Bluetooth to sync with my Blaze. Turned on my Blaze and my phone asked if I wanted it to pair the Blaze. I said yes and everything is working now.

Awesome help @SteveH and @kskliba! Welcome to the Community @NRaeAnn! As already suggested, please make sure that your device is in our compatible list.
Also, to make sure that your tracker is working correctly, restart it as suggested here. If this doesn't work, try these tips to solve your syncing issues.
Keep me posted! 😉

Hi, Had the same problem after I replaced a damaged iPhone 6 with a new 6S and upgrade to IOS 11. Once I deleted the FitBit app and reinstalled it via the AppStore, it all worked perfectly. Worth a try and good luck!
Suspect that the app was storing encrypted data that bound the phone with the login and then the device - a three way pairing. deleting and re-installing cleaned this up.

I lost my first Blaze a while back, and recently decided to purchase another. While trying to set it up, I got to the point where the app asked for the 4-digit code that appeared on the screen of the Fitbit. When I typed it in, I got an error code on my phone, saying:
"The operation couldn't be completed.
(com.fitbit.HTTP error 403.)"
Any suggestions?

I found this old post with a few suggestions to try from one of the moderators. Hopefully they'll work for you too:

Okay i solved it myself you just have to delete the fitbit app on your iphone then reinstall it and log in. It will ask u to pair the device and everything will be back to normal and you wont lose any of your data 🙂

Hi,
So I just got the new iPhone X today and the the phone connects with my fitbit blaze (that I got around 2 months ago), but whenever I try to enter the 4 digit code, it says Error 403. I have restarted both devices, turned on/off bluetooth, searched the community but I have no luck with a solution. Please help!

I had a Flex and just got a new one. I have tried to add a new device, I have tried to forget old device and add a new one. I have tried to add with and wthout wi-fi and have powered my phone down BUT each time I try to add my new Flex, I get the same error message over and over and can't get it to work; The message is "The operation couldn't be completed. (com.fitibit.HTTP error 403.)" I have tried reading message boards and others had this happen but dont see a good solution.

That’s the ticket. Delete the app and login with the existing account. Thanks all for your help.

Can’t be bothered reading all the responses to see if any are the same, but here’s my experience with the ‘403’. Got a new iPhone, 8 up from 6. New phone kept throwing up the 403 with every pair attempt, old phone paired no problems. UNINSTALLED and reinstalled the app on the new phone. Problem solved.

Removing and reinstalling the Fitbit app fixed the 403 error but I lost my unsynced activity data (the GPS information from an activity I recorded using my phone)
if this is the only fix just be aware of the implications
