When selecting food the information does not load I get a loading spinner. I have canceled and tried multiple times without success. This has been happening for awhile, overall app is very laggy and buggy with information not sync to dashboard.

I’ve been having this problem consistently as well. The article you reference describes how to clear the cache for four different web browsers. The missing link in the logic chain is: does the FitBit app use one of these browsers (or does it have its own cache we have to clear by some unknown means) and if it uses a browser cache, how do we figure out which of these browsers the FitBit app is using?
