Sense not staying connected to iPhone

Purchased the Sense a couple weeks ago as an “upgrade” to my Charge 4.

Issues I’m experiencing:

1) not consistently getting text messages/notifications on the Sense. I get some and not others unless I open up the Fitbit app constantly to resync. Then they maybe work for 30 minutes and stop again unless I open the app and sync.

2) not consistently getting call notifications on the Sense. Again, have to constantly open the app and resync. Then they work for maybe 30 minutes and stop.

3) find my phone only works maybe 1 out of 20 times I attempt it despite syncing or going in to Fitbit settings and on-wrist calls (which had been working before and getting it to connect and find my phone 1 out of 10 tries). Now it pretty much doesn’t ever work which sucks because I always lose my phone and this feature was a strong motivator to get me to leave the Charge series.

4) checking the weather on the Sense will tell me to open my app and sync - same with calendar.

5) logging water on either the phone or the Sense doesn’t show on the Sense. It always says 0 oz even after syncing with the phone

6) health & wellness notifications are checked but I’ve yet to receive a notification to drink water on the Sense.

7) will not stay connected to wifi. Every time I open the wifi settings in the app, it does not show its connected and gives me the option to connect.

It sounds to me that if I’m not walking around with my phone in my hand and the app open at all times, these features aren’t working on the Sense device, which defeats the purpose.

To troubleshoot the issue, Ive:

1) removed the device on bluetooth, turned off bluetooth, force quit the app, rebooted iphone, power down Sense, restart everything, force sync, re-pair Sense.

2)I’ve completely deleted the Fitbit app and reinstalled & paired the device.

3) triple checked all the settings to allow notifications and app running in the background.

Nothing has helped. Is there a sure fire fix so this starts working as consistently as my Charge 4?

Equipment:

iPhone XS running iOS 15.1

Fitbit app version 3.52.1

Fitbit Sense purchased 11/29/21

Hi @cjillings  your post is being moved to the iOS forum area for more relevant responses. This seems to be more of an iOS issue and you'll want to hear from iOS users. I'm Android myself.

Stepping in the U.S.A. since September 2013. Android 14

Thanks! Hopefully someone will have a fix. Love the features of the watch - would love it more when it works as it should! 😂
