Sense won’t sync

I have not been able to sync my FitBit sense. I’ve tried turning off / on Bluetooth, updating my device and the app, removing my device from Bluetooth, turning my device off and on, removing my device and adding back to the app and no matter what I do, the app gives me an error message. Watch and my device work fine and I think it’s an issue with the app. I’ve had FitBit for years but never had this kind of persistent failure to sync with the app. Now, I can’t get the app to add my watch back to my account and it gives me a failure to connect to FitBit. I’ve tried it on data and wifi with the same result.
