Show ONLY child tracker on child's device

Hi, I'm having trouble setting up my kid's tracker (Ace2) on her device (iPad).

I can add it to her profile (she is part of our family), but then on my device (iPhone) and hers BOTH trackers are shown (apparently combined).

Apparently removing it from either device means removing it from the account so both devices "lose" the tracker.

On her device I can setup the Ace2 from her profile but then it looks like her Ace2 get MY charge3 settings. Even on the Ace2 it shows the steps I have on my Charge3.

This device setup is quite complicated. Why isn't there an option to select the active tracker PER device ?

Any idea how I can get this to the desired state?

- my charge3 tracker syncing with my iPhone ONLY

- her ace2 syncing with her iPad ONLY

Thanks

Hello again @SunsetRunner

I’m wondering if the confusion is switching from kid view to parents view. This article will explain the process: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2347

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @SunsetRunner

I hope I can help. From my understanding you can only connect the Ace 2 Tracker to one device. This is a great help article that can assist you in setting up Fitbit Ace and Ace 2 devices: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2346/?q=Ace+2&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1

Once you get the Ace 2 up and running this is a great article to get you familiar with its functions: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2434?q=Ace+2&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1

Thanks MegaBite for the links,

Her Ace2 is setup only on the iPad (and with no other device). But once I do set it up - following the instructions in the first link you've provided, and doing it on her child's "view" - it seems to get attached to *my* user account and it starts showing up in both my iPhone and her iPad (where it was setup).

Keep in mind she does not have her own account, she has a child account. I did setup the device using her kid's view.

I think I figured it out.

I had to switch back to parent view and then back again to her child view and this time it worked (Ace2 got correctly associated with her iPad and only her iPad).

Note that in all setups it said "Setup Ace2 for *Sofia*"... but it only worked this last time after I switched back to Parent View and then to her View.

Maybe something didn't work well when it switched profiles the first time.

😂 It appears based on your last post and my last post that we figured out the issue at the same time. I’m excited this is now resolved and it’s fantastic your child now has their Fitbit Ace 2 up and running. Happy Stepping! 😃

There's some "bug" in the profile switching. I was obviously on my daughter's profile (it said "Add device for Sofia" and "switch to parent profile") yet it seemed to be operating on mine.

On any case, in the future i'll just switch profiles twice to be safe.
