Sleep graph is not accurate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This morning for the first time it use the for stages of sleep. Normally it shows restlessness and reduces amount of sleep by this which was been acturate. This morning chart made no sense and did not take restlessness into account and told me I slept the most I have in two years which is wrong as I was woke up numerous times. Now I lthink this is useless when previous it was helping me maintain my health. If it wasn't for the heart rate monitor I would throw the Fitbit as no longer helpful. Not impressed

Hello @SunsetRunner, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

This seems like a very odd situation, which tracker are you currently using? Have you restarted it lately? If so, I would like to suggest the following:

  1. Restart your tracker once again.
  2. Monitor your sleep for the next 2 days
  3. If the graph still seems inaccurate, please take a screenshot of the sleep graph and reply to me with it.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting for your reply. Additionally, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I am on the same boat as you are with the sleep graph! I have restarted the app, deleted everything and reinstalled, and have tried to restart my phone as well.  Nothing works. There have been times that I am up and moving and it still says that I am sleeping. I definitely do not like this new sleek monitor update. And my fitbit is not that old. It is the charge 2 I got for Christmas to replace another Fitbit tracker.  I'm also having issues with this newest update and my syncing not working.

Mine is a charge 2 as well. I find that once I sync it I have to click sync another three times to get the stats to show

Ever since the last update it takes forever for mines actually sync. It just keeps thinking but doesn't actually dync. I have to uninstall the program and reinstall it before it syncs. Unfortunately I have to do this every single time.

Hello @armygirl344, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's nice to see new faces around. Thank you for taking the time to reply @SunsetRunner, I appreciate it.

@armygirl344, if you have you updated the Fitbit app to the latest update, please check @HelenaFitbit's excellent tips and instructions that have proven to be very helpful for many members facing the same syncing issues as you have. If your Charge 2 is still not syncing correctly or if it's taking a long time to sync, let's try to set up your tracker as a new device. This will reset the connection between your phone and your tracker. Don't worry, this won't delete any of the information stored in your account so far.

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  2. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  3. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

@SunsetRunner, thank you for replying to me with the screenshots, I'll make sure to forward the information to our team so they can check this and investigate further.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please keep me posted.

I have tried all of this prior to writing my initial message. The only time it works is when I delete the app and then reinstall it. It's just a hassle to do this every time I want to check my status. It worked fine before the last Fitbit update so I know it works with my phone just fine. I've reset the Fitbit a few times as well. And yes even deleted the Fitbit and reinstalled it a few times. When it happened before that had fixed the issue. But as I'm also having the same issue that Neats is about the sleep I'm truly getting frustrated.

Hello @SunsetRunner and @armygirl344, I hope you're having a great day. Smiley Happy

It seems very odd that when Sleep Stages was introduced your sleep graph is showing an unusual amount of sleep hours. In this case I would like to suggest you to go to the Sleep section of the online Dashboard and check if the amount of hours is correct here. If the hours are showing correctly, it's possible the app is not updating the information correctly, in which case please try the following on the app:

  • Force-close the app by double tapping the home button and swiping up the app.
  • Log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

Please give it a try and let me know the outcome, I'll be waiting for your reply.

The amount of sleep is showing the same on the online dashboard. All I say is now since the last update it only deducts time awake when before it used to deduct time awake and restlessness. I used to find that correct as I was awake at the restlessness stage too

I actually downloaded the app onto an iPad which was not update so it had a old version of the app so I could compare what the ne app is doing today the new app said I had 6hrs24 under the old one which deducted restlessness I got 4hrs 49. I checked and know the only 4hrs is correct as in the times I can remember say saying to my self please let me sleep. I have worked out the the new app R.E.M. is the restlessness and is time that you are actually awake as when I deducted the ten I got the sleep amount I got under the old version of the app. Is this able to be looked into for a possible fix???
