Hello @Gabarra, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
I appreciate you have brought this to my attention. Which tracker are you currently using? Is this the first time you've experienced this issue? If so, I would like to ask you to restart your tracker, then go to your device Settings in the online Dashboard. Check your sleep setting, if it's set to Sensitive, change it to Normal.
After that, use your tracker as you normally would at night, making sure it is snug on your wrist. If you get 2 chunks of sleep, the next night try to sleep with the tracker on your non-dominant hand.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

I’ve been having the same problem for some time. iOS current. Charge 2.
I’ve tried deleting the late log and changing the time end time on the first. It gets really messed up then.
I’ll try the recommendations.

Hello Marco,
I am using a Charge 2, my sleep setting was already set as normal and I have faced this situation on that unique night . An additional remark, that evening, had already received the alarm to recharge my Charge 2 again.

Hello @Gabarra, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply.
I appreciate you have replied to me with additional information. Tell me, have you experienced this situation after you reported it? Please note that low battery in your tracker might affect your sleep logs and Sleep Stages, so it's possible this affected your log for that day.
Please keep monitoring your Charge 2 and let me know if you experience this issue again.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I did the restart and reinstalled the app. It worked that night only and is back to split records and missing chunks.
Last night I wore my Flex 2 while the Charge 2 was charging; same thing happens.
Here is tonight’s log so far. It’s split into 3 chunks and there are records overlapping. That happens often but isn’t always the case.

Hello @smj34, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply, I appreciate you have sent me some screenshots.
At this moment I would like to suggest you to go to your device Settings in the online Dashboard. Check your sleep setting, if it's set to Sensitive, change it to Normal. If it's already set to Normal, change it to Sensitive and save the changes, then sync your tracker. Change the sleep sensitivity to Normal again, save changes and sync again. If this doesn't seem to resolve the issue, please try using your tracker on your other wrist and monitor your sleep for the next night.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Hello @smj34, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply.
I appreciate your participation in the forums. I would like to know if you have still experiencing this issue and your sleep seems to be broken in two chunks. If so, please restart your Charge 2 and try to wear it about 2 or 3 fingers upper in your arm. Then monitor it and let me know if this resolves your issue.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting for your reply.

When you go to bed, open the app, and go to the 'sleep' section. Tap the plus-icon and tap 'start sleep now'. When you get up the next morning, tap on 'end sleep'.
That way you will get one sleep log, including the correct sleep phases (after your Fitbit syncs).
Works with my Ionic.

Same thing is happening to me on my New Charge 3. I get my score in two sections with the the lower section logging the time I went to bed and stopping at say 1 am then the upper section that has my sleep score to the right of it in the blue circle starts at say 2 am and ends when the alarm goes off meaning I'm either dead for a period of time or the thing is faulty. I have reset it several times and swapped between sensitive and normal to no avail. I have discovered on here that I can manually update the log by first selecting the lower section by touching it to make it go into sleep stage and then access the editor (the 3 horizontal spots at the top right of the screen) to delete that part of the sleep log and then do the same for the top section and edit it to change the start time to when I went to bed. It recalculates and give me what looks like a proper single line sleep log and a decent score but it is a pain to have to keep doing this when I think it should have been fixed by now.

Hi DaaNL77, I actually select "Begin Sleep" and "I'm awake" each day, but the tracker still splits my sleep into 2 segments. Before I click "I'm awake", it shows that my sleep time was 8 hours and X min, but the time is still split into 2 segments and the sleep score is only applied to the 2nd segment, which may only be 3 hours. Sometimes the 2nd segment picks up where the first one ends, but sometimes it is missing a few hours. I've had the Versa2 for about a week, and it has only had one continual segment once out of 7 days.

Hi.
I also have this problem with my charge 3, it worked fine for the first month and now it's saving my sleep in at least three segments.
I've tried all of the advice in this thread, and I've even brought a new strap thinking my other one wasn't right enough but this still hasn't worked.
Help?!

I can attest to the fact that this problem has not been solved by May 2021. I experience this not every night, but two or three times a week. When this happens, I get the most accurate reading by deleting both chunks and then adding a new sleep period with actual bedtime and wake up time. It then recreates the whole sleep period with sleep stage information — including the previously missing time gap — and calculates a seemingly accurate sleep score. This shows that it actually has the data in memory for the time gap period but has failed to report it, leading to an inaccurate initial sleep report.

I feel like taking the watch back . What good is it if sleep gets set to 2 chunks most of the time. It's inaccurate for sleep mode and that is one of the tiles I wanted the most. Have 30 days to decide.
