Sleep tracker shows Error

It always show "How did you sleep?" in my Fitbit App even I wear it when I sleep.  Also, when I log in in Fitbit website, it shows Error in the sleep tracker.  I did uninstall the App, however, it didn't fix.  >.<

Hello @Szengar! Welcome to the Community.

I'd like to take a closer look at what is going on so that I can help you make sense of everything. Could you take a screen shot of the error that you get when you log the sleep on the Dashboard? Additionally, please let me know what tracker you're using and since when did you start experiencing this issue with the sleep tracking.

Look forward to your reply.

Hi @LanuzaFitbit,

Thank you for your reply.
I had this experience for more than a week ago.  I have Flex 2 and Charge 2, and I use iOS.  I had the same problem even on the webpage of Fitbit.  Please see the photoshots from my Dashboard.  Thanks.

I have this same problem, started this morning. Charge 2 and using IOS. No sleep graph this morning and when I log on to the dashboard on the internet, when I go to the sleep box, it is blank and when you click on it, there is no history and it reads error at the top of the page. I tried deleting the app on my phone, reinstalling and reconnecting the Charge and still nothing

@Szengar@Debk13Let's get down to basics...

When you tap on your RHR tile on the phone does it show the HR for your sleep period.. ?

Will the webpage allow you to try and log the sleep manually, if so what is the result ?

This may help @LanuzaFitbit help with the issue...

Got up this morning and everything was back to normal, even had a log for yesterday.

As for your question, I could not add a log for sleep, just kept saying that there was one there already that I could not see.

When I tapped on RHR, it showed nothing

Hope this helps

Hey @Debk13@Szengar and @Colinm39!

@Debk13 Thanks for letting us know that it was okay after that. I'd say that we keep an eye on the app in case something similar happens again.

@Szengar Has the same happened to you? Please try to check if everything is showing properly now.

Let me know if it happens again or if there are any questions.

Hello @LanuzaFitbit @Colinm39

I tried to enter my sleep log manually on phone, it allowed me to do so.  Last night, I wore Flex 2 to sleep, when I got up I saw "How did you sleep?" in the sleep log.  Then I press into the tile, I saw the graph, but it didn't show the detail of sleep and HR of my sleep.

Please see the screenshots below.

For the webpage, I could see they noticed my sleep last night.  However, when I press into dashboard on webpage, it read Error again.

Please help.

Hey @Szengar!

Since you wore the Flex 2 to sleep, no HR could've been tracked and that would be why it is not showing up.

As for the situation with the web Dashboard and the tiles on the app, our team is now aware of the situation. At this moment we do not have any specific updates or news, but we will let everyone know when we have something.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Hello @LanuzaFitbit,

You are right.  So I wore Charge 2 to sleep last night.

However, I found the same problems.  Please see the screenshots.  Thanks.

@SzengarIt's vital you have your HR being detected because the new sleep information graph is derived from HRV (Heart Rate Variability), the timing differences between your pulses.

It derives the periods of the type of sleep you have experienced. Have you tapped your Resting Heart Rate tile of your phone to see if you  have this ?.

This image is the result of the HR and the Sleep from my Blaze. For those reading this post I have found the sleep graph to be accurate for the definite awake periods through the Graph.. I normally finish up with typically 250 steps over about 8 hours which include a couple of bathroom visits. The long awake times are those visits.

Sorry @RetroDesign, even though fitbit does not advertise tyat tyey are a medical device, and they dont try to compete with a million dollar sleep lab, hey wouldnt that be nice, thete have been independent testing that dont agree with you. Plus by doing a quick search youll find several articles on the web, and posts in the comunity wher people have worn their Fitbits durring a professional sleep study. Conclusion is they are surprisingly close.

I didn't clain that the sleeps stages didn't work, only that I would be skeptical to those measures as the other measures on the FitBit are highly inaccurate. Why would they be able to nail this measure, when failing on the rest?

I assume that this is the study you are reffering to: https://academic.oup.com/sleep/article-abstract/40/suppl_1/A26/3780957 ?

Although the method seems sound, the study was still sponsored by FitBit, and as such you should be very careful to draw conclusions about its accuracy before other more independent research has been done.

Many people have not noticed a failure on the rest, and currently most independent articles rate thr Charge 2 tge best for the buck that is available.

Please also remember that with the amount of trackers on the market the very few that have conplaints, while big for them, are in retrospect an extremely small percentage.

Have you contacted Fitbit yet? They are able to remotely look at what is happening in your tracker.

Have you done at least 3 restarts in a row of the tracker.

Read any of the help guides, the Sleep FAQ, are your user manual which may also be found in the help site.

Actually no i had not seen that study, thank you. The ones i saw where testing the Fitbit in real world tests and not supported by Fitbit. But either by independent online magazines, or informally durring a doctor prescribe sleep test.

The lenghty reply to you got deleted - I am done with FitBit and will add to their evergrowing pool of dissatisfied customers - this is no way to treat customers.
