Sleep tracking isn't accurate

Sleep tracking has not been accurate for several weeks now. Tracking for last night showed bedtime at 8:44 pm. I was up watching television until 10. This seems to have started when the app went to the new look.

Hi @Larreyn. Welcome to the Community!

Thanks for letting me know that your sleep logs don't show the correct information. As you may know, your device will detect that you're sleeping when you've not moved for more than an hour (3 hours if your device can track sleep stages). It also takes the length of time your movements are indicative of sleep behavior, such as rolling over. That being said and to work on this, please check the following steps:

  1. Verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version.
  2. Restart your Fitbit device to refresh its settings.
  3. Make sure your device is snug on your wrist. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  4. Also, try sleeping with the device on their non-dominant hand.

With the previous sleep logs, I'd recommend to edit your information by trying the steps described in this help article. This way the correct data will be reflected in the Fitbit app.

Keep me posted.
