When I open my Fitbit app on my phone, it takes a long time to sync and often doesn't sync at all. I have tried removing the app twice. The first time when I tried to log on after putting it back on, it keeped spinning and wouldn't open. I removed it and put it on again. It finally let me log on but still has trouble syncing.
I'm having the exact same issue. It usually syncs the correct steps and calories, but the sleep and active minutes either don't sync at al or they sync after multiple tries. Very frustrating. I have all-day sync on, by the way.
Best AnswerI tried restarting my tracker a few times in a row and thought that fixed it but it didn't. Now if I want to see how I am doing I have to restart the tracker every time, even a few times before I get the data.
If you had to do that each time, it would get very annoying. Tech support told me to restart my tracker while it was connected to the charger. Then I restarted my phone and it seemed to work yesterday, but today I'm still having issues.
Best AnswerI have done EVERYTHING that fitbit has told other users in the other forms. NOTHING has fixed the situation. I want a NEW tracker with free shipping. This is an outrage. THREE months of no syncing. Followed EVERY official fitbit instruction. Lost HUGE amounts of data. Fix the problem NOW and send me a new fitbit in the meantime ! ADMIT the mistake and bug and STOP dancing around our problems ! You all know EXACTLY what our problem is. Time to OWN IT and finally address it ! We tried the guidance, we tried the official fitbit community help advice, but the device is STILL BROKEN. Please ! Send me a new tracker and show me you CARE about our issues ! Post in the forum please - DO NOT EMAIL a solution, unless it is a shipping confirmation for my NEW device.
Thank you !
This is disheartening. I have been trying every suggestion as well. I can get it to sync sometimes by turning off the phone and restarting the tracker a few times. It is frustrating. I had hoped that this problem would be fixed with an update.
They told me to reset my tracker via the charger, but it didn't work. So incredibly annoying. C'mon, Fitbit, get it together. This is an expensive purchase and it shouldn't be this painful.
I was having the same problem with syncing to my iPhone. I turned off the Fitbit app and Bluetooth and then I turned on Bluetooth and then the Fitbit app. It worked. I have it on "all day sync" so I'll see how it works tomorrow. So far, it's syncing.
