Steps Not Showing In App After Manual GPS Exercise

Hi all,

I'm looking for some advice please.

This morning (before I put my Flex on, so the Fitbit iOS app was showing 0 steps) I went for a run. I decided to do a "manually track exercise" so I'd get the run tracked by GPS and mapped.

Once I'd finished the run I completed the activity and, although the activity was showing on my dashboard (2.5 mile run) the step count was 0.

I thought that the Fitbit app was supposed to pull step data from the Health app on the iPhone? Or at least utilise the accelerometer to generate step counts.

I really want my run to count towards my daily steps. I don't want to rely on my Flex for the run as I'm not convinced the distance data is accurate. GPS is much more reliable.

Or is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing to allow the steps in Health to be read/accessed by the Fitbit iOS app?

Anyone any ideas please?

Thanks

James

Hi there @SunsetRunner! Just to clarify, did you use the Fitbit app for this matter with MobileRun or did you use the Health app? The last one does not sync the information to our app yet. However, currently there's a Feature Request where people are asking to get this implemented. This is the request: Integrate with iOS 8 Health App, you should add your vote to show support.

Keep me posted.
