Steps are being added to peer's challenge count

In our challenge, we suspected one member was manually logging steps for the spinning that she does at the gym. I read online that these logged activities should not affect the challenge or leaderboard totals but I watched another colleague log walking as an exercise and open up the challenge and it instantly jumped her steps up to 4,000. So I'm not sure if this is a glitch or why this is being allowed.

Hello @Ldammy, thanks for joining us.

Currently, it's not possible for a manual activity to add steps to a challenge, this was designed to encourage fairness when challenging other people. We haven't received any report of a bug that might be allowing manually logged activities to count on challenge but I thank you for your report, we will make sure to investigate this further.

If there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Happy stepping! Smiley Happy

Ever since the update I am having trouble syncing my Fitbit. My friends are challenging me daily and I am accepting the challenge however sometimes my steps won't sync, their steps won't sync, or it will say that I'm still pending. This has been happening since Sunday.
