Hi!
I have a fitbit flex2 and i have updated my iOS app version 2.53.1
Although my steps are syncing when I go to my friends list they haven’t updated.
I have tried :
- Force close the app and restarting the app
- Turning off my iPhone
- Updating Fitbit and syncing several times over the day
- Logout and login back to the app
- Checked on the web-based Dashboard to see if your friends list is not updating in that platform either.
I guess i have tried all possible scenarios but the steps on friends list have stayed the same.
Help please!

I have had the same issue as well. It happened to me on a Tuesday of the Workweek Hustle. The Monday I had 12000 steps and on the Tuesday I had 10000 steps, yet that somehow added up to 18000 steps in the Workweek Hustle.
Further, today I went for a 30 minute walk and when I sat down after my steps were over 8000 and 38 active minutes. Then I looked back at the app about 10 minutes later and I only had 11 active minutes and 7699 steps.
Both times, I saw the Sync fully complete. I have closed and re-opened the app, still staying at the lower numbers. I checked the app store - no updates available.
Not happy about this. I am trying to meet certain active minute goals on certain days and this has been making the entire thing questionable about that accuracy. Any insight on this issue would be great.. I have the Alta HR.
Also read a thread about this same issue happening and being resolved back in 2016.

Hello @andrea-riddell, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, have a warm welcome. It's nice to see you too @walkaholics, I hope you're having a great day!
Thanks for bringing these issues to my attention, @walkaholics, I appreciate you have let me know about the troubleshooting steps you've already tried. Tell me, have you experienced this issue since the latest Fitbit app or have you experienced it before? Would it be possible for you to reply to me with a screenshot of your current steps and the way they show in the Leaderboard(friend list)? That will be very helpful.
@andrea-riddell, first of all, I'm sorry to hear that your step total on your challenge isn't updating. Below are possible reasons for this issue:
1. Your steps have fully synced to our database but you're not viewing the mobile app dashboard in Live Data Mode. (Live data mode would show the word "connected" under your tracker tile).
2. You manually logged an activity. Steps from manually logged activities do not count toward challenges; only steps recorded by your tracker or MobileTrack are counted toward challenges.
3. You used MobileRun to track GPS data with your app. Only steps recorded by a tracker or MobileTrack are counted toward challenges.
4. All challenge participants are not in the same time zone.
We also recommend waiting 15 minutes after syncing your Fitbit data to see if your challenge updates.
Now, about the information not syncing from your device, please restart your Alta HR then make sure you're running the latest Fitbit app version (go to Account > Help to check it), the latest version is 2.53.1. Then monitor your tracker and app and let me know if you're still missing information. Pictures or screenshots will be very helpful to check this further as well.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply!
