Yesterday I did 8000 steps, today 17,000 I synced the watch with the app and now the watch and app is displaying yesterdays total as todays step count. What’s going on?

Welcome to the community, @Aesh295.
Thanks for sharing this information. I understand how important it is for you to track accurate information, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Because this shouldn't happen, may I know if the issue persisted today?
In the meantime, let's try some steps together:
- Forget your Fitbit device from the Bluetooth settings.
- Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
- Restart your Fitbit device to refresh its performance.
- Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
- Keep an eye on all your stats to see if they sync correctly.
