Manually logged workouts currently do not count towards Challenges at this time.

It's likely that the discrepancy between your iOS dashboard and your Challenge is the same amount of steps as the total amount of steps from manually logged workouts, you can double check this on your activity log.

Let me know if you have any additional questions!

I am having the same problem.  I have a 3k+ discrepancy between my dashboard and my weekly challenges.  I am not manually adding in steps, so this is not the issue.  What can be done to fix this discrepancy?

I do not enter anything manually... My challenge says I haven't synced for 23 hours and that I have only 400 steps. I synced this morning and yesterday I had over 6000 steps. I can see 6000 steps on my dashboard just fine, but the steps aren't posting over to the challenge

My steps are not syncing to all of my challenges. I'm in 5 workweek hustle challenges and my steps only synced in 2 of them. Yesterday, my steps appeared in all of the challenges but now they don't. Why is this happening?

I'm assuming that there has not been a fix done for the manual entries not being counted on challenges.  I have experienced this and decided to check the community posts to see if I'm the only one having this problem or if there are others.  This is a very discouraging situation when we are using a fitbit to receive encouragement, but instead are getting discouraged when our numbers are not showing correctly and we look like we're behind the pack when in fact we're not.  PLEASE, do something to get this corrected.  Thank you for your help.

I have taken 4890 steps today. Not during a workout either. I am in a challenge and the dashboard steps are not showing in the challenge stats

I am having the same problem.

I am having the same problem with steps not syncing to my challenge. It actually shows me at the top of the challenge but nothing where the steps should be. That field is just blank.

It's been more than two years that folks are reporting this problem. It isn't a priority for Fitbit to fix this. I have exactly the same issue as many have described. It's hard to believe that they just post the same suggestions after they get feedback that they don't work.

I feel the same way discouraging

Hello @Tracy1961, it's nice to see you around, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community! Smiley Happy

If the steps showing on your Dashboard are not the same as in the challenge, below are possible reasons for this issue:

1. Your steps have fully synced to our database but you're not viewing the mobile app dashboard in Live Data Mode. (Live data mode would show the word "connected" under your tracker tile).
2. You manually logged an activity. Steps from manually logged activities do not count toward challenges; only steps recorded by your tracker or MobileTrack are counted toward challenges.
3. You used MobileRun to track GPS data with your app. Only steps recorded by a tracker or MobileTrack are counted toward challenges.
4. All challenge participants are not in the same time zone.

We also recommend waiting 15 minutes after syncing your Fitbit data to see if your challenge updates.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, feel free to reply!

Hey that is not any of the three cases. As simple as that, the steps on my watch and dashboard are same ( no manual entry), same are not appearing on challenges. Be it the case of different time zones, still the subsequent work week and weekend challenges should have equated the tots steps of the whole week. But that is not the case. It's a bug, please fix it. See the whole buy in because of the social interaction will end and I don't see recommending this thing to anyone.

I'm having this same issue even when I don't log a workout

I did one thing. I put the heart rate monitor off and now all steps are syncing properly. It's a bug guys, do you want me to do more debugging?

Best Answer

Still an issue and I do not manually enter. It does not adjust after any period of time.

Why bother with the challenge of it won’t sync properly?
