Steps not syncing in the challenges

I'm having problems with my app syncing. It shows over 18,000 steps but my app won't sync or update in the challenges. I'm finding this very frustrating.

I too am having issues with the Charge not syncing steps to the challenges.  Fore example yesterday I had 11,185 steps total but according to the challenge I achieved my goal of only 8,000!  I tried syncing every minute for 5 minutes to "force" the steps in the challenge to be accurate with no luck.  The challenge ended last night and I checked this moring to see what I ended up with in the challenge and just as before, I did not receive credit for the actual steps I had taken in the challenge.

Hi @NDisney & @Brooktrout,

What important to note is that manually logged activities do not count towards Challenges at this time.

Click here for all of the potential reasons why you may be seeing a step discrepancy between your dashboard and Challenge.

Hope this helps and welcome to the Community!

Sorry but I didn't manually input any activities.  Try again.

Hey there @Brooktrout thanks for the update! Mmhhh I'd like to know if you checked the possible reasons @DerrickS provided in his previous post? If you did, my best advise would be to contact our Customer Support team so they can provide you with a good solution for this.

Wish you luck, keep me posted! Man Wink

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @gigi0654, it's nice to see you around! Below are possible reasons for this issue:

1. Your steps have fully synced to our database but you're not viewing the mobile app dashboard in Live Data Mode. (Live data mode would show the word "connected" under your tracker tile).
2. You manually logged an activity. Steps from manually logged activities do not count toward challenges; only steps recorded by your tracker or MobileTrack are counted toward challenges.
3. You used MobileRun to track GPS data with your app. Only steps recorded by a tracker or MobileTrack are counted toward challenges.
4. All challenge participants are not in the same time zone.

I also recommend waiting 15 minutes after syncing your Fitbit data to see if your challenge updates.

Let me know how it goes!
