Still Unable to sync "No Device Found"

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Fitbit Alta will not sync with iPhone XR.  Up until a week ago it was working, then stopped and cannot find the device to sync.

Have tried all troubleshooting suggestions.

Upgraded iPhone to v13.1.2

Upgraded Fitbit App

Stopped/retarted Bluetooth on phone

Stopped/restarted iPhone

Stopped/restarted Fitbit - battery fully charged, tried with fitbit on charger, off charger...

Nothing works, fitbit is not located by phone.

Tried on Fitbit Connect app on macbook air with fitbit usb dongle. still does not locate fitbit to sync it.

I have been a loyal fitbit user and one of 4 family members having various fitbits (zip, charge, alta) over the last 8 or so years.  I could even live with the downgrade of the app functionality that comes with the latest "upgrade" but if I cant sync then the fitbit is a useless piece of hardware...

Hello @shudan

I see you have tried several steps to try and get your Alta HR to sync properly. I have the same tracker and love it. I have found that after doing lots of things you have already done the best corse of action now is to start fresh with a new Fitbit App install. This will not cause you to lose your Fitbit’s data. Here’s how:

delete the Fitbit app from your device

now turn off your iPhone completely

now restart your phone

make sure your Bluetooth is on

go to the App Store and download the Fitbit App

once the Fitbit app is downloaded just sign on to your account as you normally do.

Your Alta HR should now sync properly

😃please let me know if this solves your issue

I did the suggested fix, twice, and still receive the message “no device found”.  I’m at a loss what to do now

Hello again @shudan

I can’t think of anything else you can do. I’m not sure how old your Fitbit is but I think you need to call Fitbit Customer Service. You can find ways to contact them here: https://help.fitbit.com/?l=en_US&cu=1&fs=ContactUs&co=GB

Maybe there are things they can suggest that can get you up and running again. Please tell them all the troubleshooting steps you have already taken to help limit the scope of the problem. They may ask if your Fitbit is compatible with the Fitbit App and I already checked that and indeed the iPhone XR is indeed compatible.
Good Luck to you.

I also was having the 'no device found' problem. I reset and reinstalled everything that was possible and still no go.

The solution for me? Manually turn off Bluetooth on all my other devices that have ever connected to the Fitbit. Apparently they somehow interfered because the SECOND I turned off Bluetooth on my old phone, the Fitbit was able to sync and was discoverable as a Bluetooth device on my new phone.

I hope this will help at least one other poor soul. I was tearing my hair out.
