Streak progress lost when changing activity goal

Hello,

I’ve noticed a disappointing feature, which is that when you go into Activity Settings to change your step goal, you lose your step streak for previous days that were met with the previous step goal. For example, I have been gradually upping my step goal. 6,000 steps for one month, and then when I hit a 30 day streak, I up it to 7,000, then another 30 days up it to 8,000, and so on. When I changed the goal to 8,000, I noticed that my streak was lost for the previous month, back when my step goal was 7,000, for any days I was below 8,000. This is really disappointing because the streak motivator was really helping me meet my goals, and I feel like I’m not getting credit for them anymore. I really hope they fix this in an update. Just wondering if anyone has noticed this and reached out to Fitbit.

The calculation of step streaks has been an ongoing issue. If you have found one of the issues that makes step street frustrating, such as step Street being reset for no known reasons. When I set my step exercise goal, knowing of this issue, I set a minimum daily goal. I did make a feature suggestion months ago that a steps Greek tile be added to the Fitbit application. One of the suggestions was to create a graph that displayed minimum step goal, step goal, and stretch step goal. This would allow us to see how well we were actually doing antsy actual breaks, where we did not meet one or all of the goals we had set for ourselves.  I do not expect to see this problem, resolved based on the current issues going on with Fitbit related to groups, adventures, steps, Greek, accessibility for the blind in reading, disabled and quality of the Fitbit tracking devices.
