Switching Versa Lites

My Versa Lite is biting the dust. How do I switch everything to another FitBit Versa Lite, one that is the same age, but that my wife wasn’t using?

Keep in mind all your data is stored on your fitbit account in the fitbit/google database under your username in the cloud, except for whatever is in your local data since your last sync.
First do a sync on your current fitbit if you can, to get all your data updated to the fitbit database.
Next, on phone app, tap battery % at top left, takes you to 'Connected to Fitbit' page.
Near bottom, tap on 'Add more devices'.  It will list all the Fitbit devices.  Find Versa Lite and tap that.  It will say something like 'You already have a Versa Lite attached.  Do you want to replace this? '  Answer Yes and continue.  It will guide you through setting up "new" Versa Lite. It will probably help to move old fitbit further away during this, so to avoid bluetooth interference.  Keep same user name and password. That is how your data is stored.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
