Sync Fitbit flex 2 to Strava

Hi, I am new to this device and find it incredibly useful, especially for swimming. However, I am unable to see my results on Strava which is frustrating. My understanding is that it can link with Strava which I believe I have done. However, I do not know how to transfer any information to Strava...

thanks

Hello @Loggie1970, have a warm welcome to the Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

To check if Strava and Fitbit are connected, pleae go to the Applications Settings on your online Dashboard. In here you'll be able to see Strava if it was successfully linked. If Strava is linked, let's reset the connection betweeen apps:

  1. Next to Strava click on the Revoke Access button.
  2. Visit http://strava.fitbit.com/ and click Connect.
  3. You'll be prompted to log into your Strava account.
  4. When prompted, authorize Strava to connect to your Fitbit account and follow the onscreen instructions.

Keep in mind that the following types of activities won't sync to Strava:

  • Non-GPS activities
  • Previously completed activities
  • Duplicate activities—that is, if you already recorded an activity with Strava, a Fitbit activity that occurs at the same time won't sync.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know if you need anything else, I'll be happy to help! Smiley Wink

I am confused.... Does Fitbit flex2 sync to strava after swimming if your phone wasn't with you during the swim? To be clear, my Fitbit syncs to my phone after the swim but won't sync to strava although the apps are showing as linked.  I've read lots of articles saying it doesn't work unless the phone is with you during the swim - is this correct?  Thanks!

Hello @Zoebull, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board the Fitbit Community! Smiley Happy

At this moment, non-GPS activities will not sync with Strava, this includes swimming. Your Flex 2 auto-detects swimming but it will only show up on your Fitbit app, you don't need your phone next to you when swimming.

I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can help you with, please feel free to reply.

Hi.. I have started using flex2 and used today during my cycling activity. I can see my cycling activity in fitbit app. But I don't see that on strava. My fitbit account and strava account are both linked.
