It will only work if your iPad is version 3 or later.
Have you set up your One yet or is this what you are trying to do?
If you are setting up your fitbit for the first time then there's a guide for this here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1873/
If you have already set it up and just want to sync to the iPad then it should just be a case of downloading the fitbit app and signing on to your fitbit account. When you open the app it will sync.
Best AnswerSteveH - Thanks for the reply. I have Fitbit dashboard installed on my Ipad and it synched when I started using my Fitbit. I hadn't used it in a couple of years and now when I open my dashboard app and sign it it is my Fitbit One is not syncing. Any additional suggestions will be tried.

Assuming your One looks like it's working ok (it's tracking steps etc) then it might just need a restart:

Give this a few tries though as it sometimes doesn't work. If that doesn't work then I'd go into the account section of the fitbit app and add the One as a new device.
Best AnswerThanks again Steve. I followed the turn on instructions and it is still not syncing so I try your suggestion of removing my current device and adding a new One device
