I use the Fitbit Charge HR for my daily runs. I also use their app to track the mileage, heart rate and pace per mile. It is an excellent app and I am very happy with it over the other apps such as mapmyfitness. One problem I am having is that it takes about three minutes to sync the app with my Fitbit (pulling down on pane on the new and improved dashboard) before I tap on the little clock to go into the tracker. Does the app need to synch with the Fitbit before the run or will it do it automatically?

It's nice to see you around the Community @grayghost ! It doesn't matter my friend, but you need to sync after ending your workout so that data will be transferred correctly.
If your app and tracker are taking so long, please do the following:
