My Fitbit stopped syncing with my flex 2 so I unpaired the device and now it can’t find device despite it being turned on and connected to my Bluetooth

The Fitbit app drops its connection to Bluetooth nearly every week. My regular procedure is to uninstall the app, then reinstall it. I usually have to do this several times before the connection to Bluetooth is successful. It's very frustrating, as it seems to be a problem with the Fitbit app itself. I am waiting for an update that will take care of this problem.
