Syncing steps with challenges?

Please help! I don't know why but my steps are not syncing with my challenges. My steps update on my dashboard but that's it, does not Change anything else. What should I do? Thank you for any help 🙂

@Laceyrex A warm welcome to our Fitbit Community! Seems odd that your challenges are not adding your steps. I'd like to know if you manually log activities since this function won't allow to add steps to challenges. Also, make sure that the your time-zone matches with the time-zone of the administrator of the challenges you are participating in.

Finally, make sure that your phone has the most recent app version installed. If so, log out of the app, turn off your phone and turn it back on. Once this has been done, open the app and test the behavior of the challenges and check out if the steps get added.

Keep me posted on the outcome my friend and I'll be around! Smiley Happy

Apparently this issue has been going on a long time but I haven't experienced it until now. My accurate steps are not showing up in my challenges. I manually input my weight training but the dashboard states there are no steps attributed to this activity. I have the latest software update and I'm in the same time zone. So, what's the fix? I agree, our trackers aren't cheap and were a family of 5 FitBit users. Please advise on a permanent fix for this bug.

@Cafesito What you are describing is not a bug. Manually logged exercises do not count towards Challenges at this time, click here for more details.

Derrick,

thanks for the redundant information. I've read the community boards & instructions, which is why I specifically noted the details about manual entry and time zones in my post.

Please re-read my comment regarding NO STEPS being associated with my weight training. Therefore, that activity was not in question. I physically took the steps during a run and throughout the day and NOT ALL STEPS were counted toward my challenges. There is a bug, as others in my challenges have experienced the same this week.

Individuals in my work challenge group are experiencing the same issues.  Steps are not crossing over into the challenges. After reading the FAQs and "challenge rules" I am still at a loss.  If no steps are logged manually the steps should be crossing over.  The fitbit app and fitbit tracker both show the same number of steps yet 40% of them are not in the challenge.  I have verified again these are not manually entered steps or even workouts.  According to the "challenge rules" the timezones don't have to be the same just the steps will be altered for the timezone, although that does not apply to this situation as we are in the same timezone.  And the fitbits are set to the same timezone.  Is there going to be an update to rectify this any time soon as this is apparently a widespread issue?

Thanks!
