Text Messages not coming through on Alta

Hi - I got a new iPhone and now I can't get my text messages on my Alta.  The odd thing is the App is syncing my steps and sleep perfectly fine. The Alta goes in and out in bluetooth. Unsuccessful texts regardless of the bluetooth status.   I have signed out from everything and resigned back in.  I have restarted the phone and reset the Alta.
