I am painfully frustrated with this watch. I have spent a lot of time doing what they suggest as well as time in the phone. -I do not receive text messages on the watch - yesterday it logged that I walked 13,000 steps but only walked one mile, I have adjusted the stride length as directed months ago. - I am training for a marathon and my friend that has the same watch and we have all of the same settings will register distances spot on and mine will be off by a mile plus. Why spend the money on this watch when the features you have invested in, don’t work. Every time I call they give me another suggestion that doesn’t work.

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @Kellbell78

I can see from your post that your very frustrated. I understand that and I’d like an opportunity to help you if possible. Currently notifications is a know issue and the Fitbit Team is indeed working on trying to get a fix out. I have no timetable on when that will happen but you can keep an eye out on the updates on the notification (calls/text) issue here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Stopped-seeing-notifications-after-updating-to-iOS-13/td-p/3...

I can share with you my understanding of some tips that may help with your notifications issue but again there are no promises I can make and if these tips I share indeed get your notifications to work they will only do so with notifications previews.
Tips to try and get your notifications to work:

Tap your profile picture in upper left

scroll down to the name of your Fitbit and tap it (It’s located just under “My Family”

scroll down and tap notifications

enable the notifications you want in green

now simply tap “today” at the bottom of your screen to get back to the main page

Now lets make sure your iOS device is set up correctly:

go to:

device>settings>location services >Fitbit> select Always

also Go to:

device setting>Fitbit>Location>select Always

also go to:

device settings >notifications >messages>Select always under show previews

now go to your Bluetooth settings and look for your Fitbit Tracker and see if there is a small letter “ i “ with a circle around it. If there is tap that little “ i “ and select Shared notifications and enable it.

If would also suggest restarting your Fitbit Tracker to see if that helps your steps that you don’t feel are being logged properly. You can see how to restart your Fitbit tracker here: (you might benefit by trying the restarting processes a few times) : https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186

If Ayer doing all this you still don’t feel your Fitbit App is not tracking correctly I would suggest deleting the Fitbit App completely and then reinstalling. You will not lose any data doing this.

Here’s how:

1. Log out of the Fitbit app and force shut the app by swiping up

2. uninstall the Fitbit App from your device

3. now completely shut down your device and wait about 1 min then restart your device

4. once your device has reloaded reinstall the Fitbit app by downloading it from the App Store

5. once it’s installed, log into your device as you normally would with username and password

6. don’t touch anything in the app...just wait until you get a prompt from your Bluetooth.

7. When prompted by your Bluetooth tap yes

8. now sync your tracker

😃 I do hope my suggestions do indeed help resolve your issues. Please keep me posted on its status. I also wish you the best of luck in your up and coming marathon.
