Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!
Very boring. I feel like Fitbit is phasing me out. No battery, visually unappealing. The clock faces have not been updated in a year. I am really not sure why I am staying around. Other than the investment and being a loyal customer since 2017. I feel like I am being told quietly to leave and never come back with this app version. Customer service has dramatically changed attitude as well. They simply do not care at all and would rather just transfer you or disconnect. It's like dealing with Amazon in a since.
In a sense
Same. There’s not enough data at a glance (I don’t mean averages, I mean exact data) in the steps section. I can see my daily steps for the past week, but to see previous weeks, I have to click out and back in—I can’t scroll down through weeks and weeks. It’s terrible.
The whole reason I’ve used Fitbit for 10 years is because I love data. Now that data is harder to access. As if I need a pen and paper to write down steps to get meaningful exact comparisons. I don’t want my data dumbed down for me like I can’t handle it.
10 years I’ve used this!! Fitbit, you’re supposed to care about keeping customers. I’m furious.
Hey Lizzy,
I’m sure your UX/CX team worked hard on this update but I have to be honest I’m not a fan. For me the lack of color is a major deterrent and I would like to see that returned. Honestly it’s so bad when this watch dies in the next few months I’ll probably move away from Fitbit.
Looking forward to a hotfix soon to correct and better future rollouts.
I have loved Fitbit since 2015. Ever since Google took over, I’m no longer impressed. The new App interface is awful. Just unsubscribe from premium service. I’ll no longer be using Fitbit. Muted colored App, less data. Just plain awful. 😔 So sad that someone thought less color, less animation was a good thing. 😣 RIP Fitbit I’m not longer a fan. Goodbye. 😢
This 9/2023 “Update” is less useful than any prior version. The optics, usability, and data available are diminished. Navigability is reduced. Features are difficult if not impossible to locate. Bring back the prior version or make the new one access features more easily.
Totally agree! Most critical is the battery life icon missing, saddest is the congrats on xxx consecutive days! At least give us option to revert back to older version. I see NO benefits to update. VERY DISAPPOINTED ☹️
Is it possible to revert to the old app? Too many features are missing in the new app. Can’t see the battery status of my FitBit inspire HR. Can’t set silent alarms from the app. Don’t see any way to change faces on the Fitbit Inspire HR. Those are the ones I’ve discovered so far. When this Fitbit dies I will be going with a different brand.
The new App is horrible. I have no idea when I need to charge my battery until I get a notification. It was easier in the past version. I could glance at it and If I had some downtime I would charge it. Now I have to wait for the notification. I have no idea how to see what level my battery is at. The rest of the new app makes me feel like laying in bed for the rest of my life. Like it is raining and cold and miserable outside. Thank you for making me feel like I am not valued, and being phased out. I don't want a smartwatch. I don't need phone calls credit cards and text messages on my watch while I am exercising. I need a fitness tracker. Like Garmin. You have made a huge mistake and unfortunately for Fitbit, I am not the only customer feeling this way!
My app updated to this new version without my knowing, so we don’t get to choose? I absolutely hate the steps scrolling numbers, what an annoying waste of data. Can I just see the updated numbers without it flicking through all the steps? I was given an Apple Watch for my birthday and I traded it in for a fitbit because I loved the app so much.. now I’ll be trading back to Apple, this is no longer the fitbit program I’ve loved all these years. I don’t mind change and improvement, but ask your customers first. And give us an option for turning off the annoying step counter/scroller thing!!
100% agree
