Thoughts about the new Fitbit app

Please go back to previous app. This one sucks beyond belief.

I pay for premium for the main reason to support Fitbit. I have loved it for years. Use it everyday and happy to pay an annual subscription as such. Don’t think I use any of the premium features…

But I am forced to cancel premium. I just can’t deal with the new app. The colours and layout is just a nightmare to work with. Maybe it’s my own neurodiversity but I can see or find anything.

Please change it back or give the option to do that.

Hi @SimnelCak - have a look at posts in "The redesigned Fitbit app is rolling out!" topic in the appropriate iOS or Android app forums along with the other unhappy users where you will see more fully the issues.

Unfortunately it would seem likely you are stuck with this version officially. Though there may be some tweaks over time already mentioned there. This could take months to get this test version (requiring much reworking) to anywhere near how the previous version was.

Thank you @JuanFitbit That discussion is very relevant. I was able to vote on it. I also wanted to comment but now hitting some problems with the forum.

1) Hitting comment seemed to do nothing... After some scrolling I find a note right at the bottom telling me to accept the terms and conditions to comment. When I try and do this it just sits there. I have tried via my mobile and then on my computer. Same issue. I can only assume its due hitting some comment limit...

Anyway, I was just going to add to the thread that for me its about my vision and neurodiversity. My main problem is the new view I cant see proberly. I have to look much harder to see what I need. The old view was more prominent and pops out.

Most applications these days allow to reverse the colours or have dark mode. Maybe that would help. 

From a business perspective I dont know how Fitbit/Google are going to make this work. The app is free if you buy a device. So the business will need plenty of premium subscribers or google will suck up our data and sell it in usual style.

I pay for premium to support the business model. I was a good service.

Google needs to add value and not screw up a very good thing. I remain optimistic at this stage.. time is ticking till I look at another option

You could start a new thread on the Product Feedback board for every idea that you might have to improve the app. 
The best way to post your ideas is every single one independently, so that our team can evaluate each point individually.
