Time to sleep incorrect

I’ve noticed that the app has erroneously logged the hour I go to sleep about an hour later than reality. It gets the Wake time right. Anyone have an idea what’s wrong?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Richpowell.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that the app has erroneously logged the hour you go to sleep about an hour later than reality. Thank you for the information that your wake time is correct, I am here to help. Autodetection is based on your movement. When you haven’t moved for about an hour, your device assumes that you’re asleep. I recommend doing the following:

  1. Please confirm your sleep settings: What is the difference between the normal and sensitive sleep setting in the Fitbit app?
  2. Restart your device by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  1. Try sleeping with the device on your non-dominant hand if you haven't been doing it already.
  1. Confirm that your device is snug on your wrist.

It is possible to correct the sleep record from your dashboard by following the steps from this help article: How do I edit, or delete sleep logs in the Fitbit app?

You can find more information about tracking sleep here

Additionally, I recommend checking if your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update the Fitbit app?

Keep me posted on the outcome. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
