Tips to receive notifications on iOS 12.4

Solved!   Managed to fix it myself (hopefully).  Will describe below in case others have issues:

Solution for me:  Made sure I was logged into my FItbit iOS app.  I tapped on the device icon.  And it brought up my FItbit Alta HR.  Since I was having issues with Notifications, that is the option I chose.  It then told me I need to pair up my iPhone with my device.  I clicked on "Allow" and after a few seconds...Presto!  It was all paired and both devices were once again talking to one another.  yay!

Hopefully this helps out someone else in my situation.  Thanks again for these forums!  They are very helpful.

I am on iOS 12.4 still.  Latest Fitbit app version.

When I go to the FItbit app to sync, it seems to sync up just fine with my iPhone 8 plus.  But when I leave the app, I go to my iPhone settings display, it doesn't show my Alta HR as being connected.  It will seemingly for awhile and then it will disconnect itself.  I click on it again, it will wait a bit then says "Connected".  But I can't click on it for any information.  Then after awhile it disconnects itself again.

I have tried force quitting the Fitbit App.  And then turning Bluetooth off and on again.  And even restarting the phone.  It still has the same problem.  The App thinks everything is syncing.

But the iPhone thinks it isn't connected to the device.  Or at least it doesn't stay that way when I exit the Settings page.   So I never get any text notifications sent from the phone to my Fitbit HR device.  I did move from iPhone to another recently, so I am not sure that is the cause of my issue or not.  Both phones had the same iOS version though.  Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks!
