If so verify that the distance and step input is correct.
Did you pair/attached any other fitness app to the Fitbit account/app?

This is happening to me in my Versa Lite also. Just started about the same time yours did with a possible Fitbit update. If I click on my mileage which is accurate on the first screen and then look at the second screen for the detail, I get thousands of miles, but only for “Today”. If I look back at previous days, it appears correct. I shut down my phone and turned it on again. No change. I shut down the app and turned it on again. When I first go to that second level for mileage data, it briefly shows correctly for a second or two and then goes back to the thousands of miles for the day. Seems like app was updated with a formula error. Everything else looks accurate. My current lists over 8,900 miles for the day and says I have met my 6 mile goal for the day.

Mine is doing the same. Happened after most recent update about the same time as this other persons. See my comment in this thread.
