I just received a used fitbit flex from a friend. I charged it, got the lights, etc. but it will not sync to my iphone 5 or to my Mac computer. It seems like maybe something is wrong with the tracker? Any help/advice would be great! Thanks.

If your Fitbit Flex is not able to set up with your phone, I would like to suggest the following:
Give it a try and if your tracker is still not able to set up, please check @MarreFitbit's excellent instructions about how to set up your tracker using a computer.
